FifthColumn's Curse of Strahd
Kresk was built within the walled protection of the Abbey of Saint Markovia centuries ago, by ancestors of Dmitri, who gave the village their name. Kresk functions as a nearly autonomous commune, relying on the outside world only for wine.
The village is nearly as forested within the wall as without, and features no commercial businesses. It’s main feature, aside from the Abbey, which its citizens avoid and try to ignore, is a reportedly blessed pool of clear cold water and a shrine to the Morninglord consecrated by Saint Markovia.
